Date de naissance de l'atelier

Officiellement, Dauphine Lamarck existe depuis début janvier 2012. Cela s'est décidé autour d'une bouteille de rouge. Comme un défi. Officieusement, nous avons les mains noires depuis une dizaine d'années chacun.

Votre spécialité

Les machines de marque Honda des années 60 et 70. En visant une accessibilité à tout un chacun puisque nous ne dépassons pas les 125cc.

La philosophie de votre atelier

C'est le reflet de notre état d'esprit ! Une passion pour l'histoire des objets, leur passé. La moto d'après guerre est fière d'une belle histoire, que peu reconnaissent à leur juste valeur avec ce qu'elle a influencé dans la société actuelle. L'idée est de mettre en corrélation ces deux mondes, de faire redécouvrir cette histoire à ceux qui pourraient ne pas y être sensibles. Nous réalisons la majorité des travaux nous même loin des productions industrialisées. Quit à devoir recommencer si le travail n'est pas satisfaisant.

Votre activité avant l'ouverture de l'atelier

Philippe: Je suis designer
Nicolas: j'ai failli l'être aussi, mais je n'ai pas eu le temps. J'ai fini mes études il y a quelques mois seulement.

Sur quoi travaillez vous en ce moment ?

Nous sommes en train de finaliser 4 motos qui ont été présentées le 13 avril. Chacune avec sa propre personnalité mais réalisées suivant une ligne directrice commune. Comme 4 interprétations d'une même idée. En fait je crois que les motos que nous avons créés correspondent plus à une histoire qu'à un genre bien précis.

Que conduisez vous tous les jours

Ça dépend de notre humeur, mais nous disposons d'une Porsche 944 or et d'une BMW e12, la meme que Mesrine ! En complément, nous avons une BMW R60/7 scramblerisée.

Votre véhicule idéal

Nous sommes à la recherche de l'utilitaire ultime en ce moment comme "véhicule idéal". Quelque chose à mi chemin entre une Goélette Sinpar rehaussée et un Chevrolet El Camino, capable de nous emmener partout, chercher des pièces et des motos tout en ayant une grande gueule !

Votre outil fétiche

Pour Philippe c'est le pistolet à peinture. Pour Nicolas, le travail du métal est un vrai plaisir, du poste à souder aux flanelles de polissage.

Your Speciality

60s and 70s Honda cars. Aiming the accessibility for everyone, we do not surpass the 125 cc.

The Philosophy of your atelier

It is a reflection of our state of spirit! A passion for the history of objects , their past. The post-war motorcycle has a very beautiful history, that few people accept as it is, in spite of its influence in the modern society. The idea is to make these two worlds relate, to make discover this story those people who might not be sensible to it. We realize the majority of works on our own, far from industrialized productions. It's the risk to be obliged to restart everything if the work is not satisfactory.

Your activity before the opening of the atelier

Philippe: I am a designer.
Nicolas: I also almost became one, but I did not have enough time. I finished my studies only a couple of months ago.

What are you working on at this moment?

We are finalizing 4 motorcycles that will be presented on the 13th of April. Each of them with their own personality, but realized following the same artistic direction. As four interpretations of the same idea. In fact, I think that the motorcycles we create correspond more to the history, rather than to some specific type.

Which car do you drive every day?

It depends on our mood, but we have Porsche 944 or BMWe12, the same as Mesrine! We also have scramled BMW R60/7.

Your ideal vehicle

We are searching now for the ultimate utility vehicle as the "ideal vehicle". Something between the heightened Goélette Sinpar and Chevrolet El Camino, capable of carrying us everywhere, looking for details and motorcycles and, all in all, having a loudmouth!

Your fetiche tool

For Philippe it is a painting pistol. For Nicolas, the work on metal is a true pleasure, from dwelling post to polishing flannels.
